What it found

Late-life dietary calcium alpha-ketoglutarate extended lifespan and — more strikingly — compressed morbidity, reducing frailty and systemic inflammatory cytokines in the final stretch of life.

Why it matters

Compressed morbidity is the real goal. Not more years of decline, but fewer bad ones at the end. The human data is not there yet, and we grade it accordingly.
